In this workshop you’ll get a hands-on experience with a multitude of the current technologies being put to use for both entertainment and more practical and commercial applications, e.g. VR/AR/MR, high resolution interactive graphics, 3D, 3D-printing, game mechanics; several interaction techniques, e.g. gesture, gaze, speech, multi-touch etc.
Location: KTH Visualization Studio VIC, Room, Facebook
The workshop is divided into three parts:

1) Orientation in the tech landscape, including a long list of interactive demonstrations of the different digital technologies.
2) Introduction to modelling in 3D and an orientation of the possibilities of 3D-printing plus a practical hands-on activity where the created models are printed.
3) A games workshop where parallel groups work on the different components that are typically part of game development projects, e.g. physics, AI, lighting and texturing, sound, and game mechanics. At the end, the participants will get to play the game.
